In 2005, I led an effort to stave market erosion and rebuild share on behalf of my client, the Mortgage Insurance Companies of America. One element of the strategy was to reposition private mortgage insurance so that real estate agents and mortgage brokers would include this product as a financing consideration when counseling their clients. There was an integrated tactical plan to promote the benefits of private mortgage insurance; following are a few samples of the advertising and direct mail elements.
